Ripple Look offers stylish Mac mini alternative

Those ardent Apple refuseniks looking for an alternative to the popular Mac mini now have a worthy PC option called the Ripple Look. Hailing from Korea, the tiny box looks like a next generation gaming machine, but actually houses a tiny personal computer meant for everyday home use.

Despite the device's small footprint, it offers robust multimedia capabilities using an Intel GMA X4500 graphic chipset, supporting HD video output and housing a 160 gigabyte harddrive. You can view a demo of the Ripple Look in action here.

I like it aesthetically anyways. I like the idea behind these mini computers, but I also like building my own rig. So, I'm a tad torn at this point.

Funny, I would have thought all those pico-itx mini computers would have been "worthy" PC options to the Mac Mini.

This is great! I am trying to find ways to get my family to have a full computer experience from their sofa! I already got them watching HULU and Crakle and such using a laptop but they want to have something slick looking and small to put witht he pretty TV and stuff. they even canceled the Cable TV service... these are so cool....

The idea sounds good... simple little system. If they include a VGA to Component video cable in the box, and the price is as "Economical" as they say, I think it'd be a great buy.
