Xbox 360 Elegant Edition classes up your game console

Xbox 360 Elegant Edition classes up your game console

The Xbox 360 is a marvel of modern technology, yes, but why does it have to look like such a...toy? If you've always wanted your favorite game console to blend in better with your big-boy home theater gear, you'll love this XB Elegant Edition casemod for the Xbox 360.

Designed by Sweden's Industri Repro, the XBEEE completely redesigns the Xbox 360 to make it look like a sleek, rectangular piece of equipment. I kind of love it. Do I love it enough to recase my current Xbox? No. But hey, Microsoft, take some notes for the Xbox 720.

Really? Elegant? The design seems a bit clumsy, and this thing looks larger than the original Xbox. I don't mind making something that fits with the rest of the home theater, but I would rather have the clean elegant look of the 360 over this bland counterpart any day.

I've read else where that this mod also has more fans built in to try and keep it alive longer.

You want a redesign of the Xbox (360 or whatever) to have good cooling - something the 360 seriously lacks, thus the Red Ring of Death - and to look like a piece of stereo component gear, which means black metallic front with no visible white plastic.

Honestly, the designed of the Xbox 360 case must really have hated Xbox owners.

Did someone really think this was going to blend in with a home theater set up? I could understand if it was some generic black or silver/grey color with a small status display thing on the front. But this just looks bad, I mean it kind reminds me of a giant version of the front of the wii mote (there the sensor comes out.) I mean they got the shape of a piece of home theater equipment, but it doesn't really match with anything, or look good by itself. I think i will just continue saving my money for a regular 360.... also if it is not asking to much, can we stop refering to the future xbox console as the "Xbox 720", I die a little inside every time i hear that....

Actually, it looks perfectly at home in an IKEA catalog. So if the rest of your living room came from an IKEA catalog, this would be perfect for you. If you think that stereo gear should come in any color as long as it's black, this isn't the case for you.

Ok this is an interesting idea having it redesigned with more fans which i'm sure will help keep the XB360 alive longer but will it actually help stop the red rings of death because the last 3 XB360's i've had all seem to disc reading issues and that's what i'd really like to see improved is the quality of the drive upgraded to a blu-ray even, what would be cooler still is to have something like this we could put our PC, PS3, XB360 & Wii into an all in one box. so we would only require one video/audio HDMI cable and one power cable, if you can make that puppy then sign me up for one.

I doubt they'll make serious money from this thing. It's worse than the original. And if you wanna keep your console cooled. Look into Koolance.com water cooling.
