The Sound Egg Chair is essentially a 60's-era egg chair with sound dampening material glued on the inside and speakers wired to the roof of it. It's hideously ugly, but I've got to admit I'm curious about what the sound is like while sitting in there. Am I $1,500 worth of curious? No, no I'm not. I guess it's back to normal chairs and speakers for me.

Wouldn't be so bad if the outside had another color and they at least tried to hide the sound dampening material a little more.

Oh plus I am pretty sure that with a handy friend, a chair like that from the second hand market and some sound equipment you could make one yourself for under half the price.

p.s. They are not that ugly. And hey put one of those leg massager deals on it, install a hi-end computer a and cover the front with a molded monitor bubble add some ventilation and a cup holder you would have the ultimate VR pod
