Those looking for classy, eco-friendly stocking stuffers for their tech-inclined friends this holiday season may want to consider the handcrafted beauty that is the Alest Rukov Wooden Mouse. Hailing from Russia, the device designer carves each mouse himself and uses linseed oil to bring out the wood's detail.
Rukov offers the mouse in a variety of woods including Sapele, Ebony, Bubinga, and Makor. If you've got a recession-proof wallet burning a hole in your pocket you can pick one up for $996 to $1281 here.

Leave it to the Russians to make a "green" mouse that no one who would consider buying can even afford.

Now this is where you need a robot/automation to bring the price down. Way down. It's really a work of art. Too bad it can't be affordable art.

I like how suddenly making things out of wood instead of plastic is considered "green." Using up all the oil to make plastic isn't necessarily an environmental problem. Burning all of the oil and releasing it into the atmosphere is.
So what I see here is something that saves one mouse worth of oil so that we have that much more to burn, while taking away one mouse worth of tree to take that carbon dioxide out of the air. I'm no scientist, but that doesn't sound very green...

oooook... How is this eco-friendly?
Cutting down a tree to make an eco-friendly mouse doesn't exactly make sense.
It dose look good though!
At least they didn't include whale penis on this like their $1.6 million armored luxury suv.... Damn Russians [not the ladies though, they're hot, well some of them at least :) ]
