Beatles catalog packed into a green USB apple

Beatles catalog packed into a green USB apple

While we wait patiently for the Beatles catalog to be available for download, the Fab Four toss us an elegant $280 package that's eminently satisfying. On board this collectible green apple are all 14 of the Beatles remastered albums in both high-quality 24-bit FLAC files and 320 kbps MP3s.

Just pull up the stem and you have a USB drive full of music, the original UK album art, rare photos, 13 mini-documentaries, and expanded liner notes. Collectible, indeed — Apple Corps LTD and EMI Music are only harvesting 30,000 of these pieces of rare fruit, on sale December 7th and now available for preorder.

Looks like something the RIAA conjured up.
"You want digitized music? Fine! You can buy it shrink-wrapped... just the way God intended it."

The RIAA needs an enema to help alleviate the rectal-cranial inversion from which it suffers.

And that apple is fugly...

So how long until Apple sues to pull this product from shelves? I mean, we are talking about the same company that tried to prevent New York City from calling itself the "Big Apple".

So, nevermind the RIAA... they won't care nearly as much as a certain company who will sue if you print their name.

@thisisonlyatest - You must be confused.

This item looks like that, because it matches the logo for Apple Corps Ltd. which the Beatles founded. And Apple Corps Ltd. has been going after Apple Inc. for many years over legal issues. The first time was for trademark infringement because of Apple Computer also having an apple logo.

You can read more about it at :

@ Zillatain
no... see I don't really care who sues who... It's an apple... pretty much public domain since a species grows anywhere humans have a growing season...

Thanks for the link, though... I promise I'll read it some day.

Hi,

I can already visualize "less legal" versions of this in the future :-)

Have a nice weekend,

José

Why would anyone buy this, when for $100 less you can buy the new CD box, then rip the files to every device you own in any format you want?
