NEXTAGE robot designed to upstage human factory workers

The latest in human unemployment technology will be revealed this week at the International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. The new robot from Kawada is called NEXTAGE and has the ability to seamlessly work side by side with humans.

The humanoid robot is equipped with special sensors that allow it to remain mindful of humans in its vicinity, particularly in a production line environment. You can see video of the NEXTAGE robot in action here.

yay human unemployment technology! I can't wait till these babies put every one of those hairy oaf factory workers out of the job! Maybe then they'll start using their brains.

@namelessme

I agree my grand parents were factory workers but they knew it wasn't a long term career so the next gen got college degrees. But factory workers now seem to lack common sense and they think they are not expendable. but I'm sure unions will save them from the robots at least until skynet activates

Yea hopefully this will send all those illegal immigrants back to Mexico.

Take a good look at that picture people...."That's going to be your replacement!" Forget about working side-by-side, that's nonsense! Big business intends to replace menial labor like cashiers, factory workers, cleaning people, or anyone out there with a GED/HS Diploma with smart nifty techno gadgets that don't require health insurance, 401Ks, or retirement plans. Most people have to get with the program and educate their kids wisely. So that they can get high paying jobs. Jobs that require service and repair of the techno gadgets that replaced their grandparents in the workplace.
