Knox Handroid gloves give your hands the power of a robot

Knox Handroid gloves give your hands the power of a robot

These badass-looking Knox Handroid Gloves are designed for people riding dirt bikes, ATV's or other vehicles where your hands aren't protected behind something.

These things not only make your hands look like they belong on a robot, but they keep them safe with "exoskeleton protection, a scaphoid protection system which provides protection against common scaphoid injuries to the bone connecting the thumb to the wrist, honeycomb gel impact protection, wrist guard shrouds, and the exclusive BOA lacing system." OK, that's awesome. No pricing info yet, but look for them in stores next March.

This looks like a really nice set of riding gloves. I want a set for roller blading (although I don't have any blades anymore)... I guess I'll have to get working on my dad's bike and get it running for next spring so I can buy a set of these without looking like a fool.

Looks really great, but I'm curious to know how practical they are. Just by the description alone it would seem that these things are either pretty bulky or pretty immobile. I can't see the protection being useful, but if you're hand isnt as free to control the bike, it creates a bigger problem then it solves.

Most noteworthy about these gloves is that the article title is nonsense. These are gloves with armor for riding ATV/Dirtbike/etc. Nothing more... no robots (which is why I don't fear them), no software... just gloves.

When operating an off-road motorized vehicle (like dirt bike or quad) you don't really need much mobility (just enough to squeeze the levers which these appear to have).

Might be sketchy with small controls like horn, turn signals, headlight, etc but these look pretty thin and probably are more flexible than they appear.

I'll be looking for these on youtube to be sure, but they don't look much different from my buddy's home-made BMX gloves.

These are designed for road and race motorcyclists, not off road.
