This horrifying monstrosity of a puzzle looks next to impossible to actually complete. I mean, the Rubik's Cube is damned hard, and this takes it to a whole other level. But hey, don't let me tell you how you should or shouldn't punish yourself when bored. It's available now for $60.

Interesting that the government is licensing the devious device as the "Pentagon." It was developed by the Army as a "hope offering" to the Gitmo terrorists that they would be released if they could solve the puzzle since not even the Army's (and the CIA's) top cryptologists could pull it off. Of course, no one could figure it out. Guess they're taking it to the public for the solution.

Pretty sure I could solve that, granted i would need alot of scrap paper to work out the math and possibilities, however this is kind of an unesscary thing to make. I mean yeah it's nice to have another rubic's cube, but these are not going to become popular like the original, i mean people would only buy this as a novelty, and one this complex would be really rare.

Isn't this IQ Pentagon (GigaMinx) easier to solve considering the fact that it won't suffer parity issues? I mean 5-cycles are even permutations no? If you can solve the MegaMinx and know the basics of the 5x5, then this is quite easily solvable, albeit long...

I bought it for the same reason people climb mountains: because it's there.
