Yamaha takes one more step toward our ideal clock radio with a TSX-W80, the retro-designed beauty with a wireless iPod/iPhone cradle. Charge your iPhone or iPod with the dock on top, or attach it to that "AirWired" wireless cradle for convenient remote operation.

Besides that iPod trickery, it's just an FM radio, albeit with five presets, an auxiliary input and a handsome digital clock with alarms. Install Pandora on that iPhone/iPod, plug in a couple of powerful external speakers with a subwoofer, and this might be an acceptable bedside companion.

There's no pricing announced yet; it's expected to ship in Japan in December, but that might take longer to reach these shores.
