Want to commit fraud on your expense account? There's an app for that. A New York steakhouse wants to encourage its patrons to live large even in the midst of The Great Recession, offering its assistance with this humorous web application.
Type, say, the $695.99 you spent on that three-martini lunch into the entry field, and then before you know it you have a real-looking PDF file depicting a group of receipts with such innocuous office-type items as glue stick and toner, accompanied by other receipts that show various cab rides, cheaper sandwich orders, and snacks at the neighborhood bar and grill.
Of course, those of us who work here at the Sheinhardt Wig Company would never engage in such shenanigans, nor would we encourage anyone else to turn in these convincing-looking receipts. We're just saying, it's fun to play with this app, that's all. Really.
