The Punch Camera takes pictures by punching holes
The Punch Camera is just like any other digital camera, but with a twist. You can still load your photos onto a computer via USB, but the Punch also has a series of pins that you can use to literally punch a rasterized image onto a piece of paper. You lose a lot of definition and color, but there's an undeniable charm to the finished result.
"This is a camera which was inspired by the loss of tangible memories," writes designer Matty Martin of his concept. "It is meant to connect both physical and digital while minimizing excess materials and the hardships in sharing images… The Punch aligns a set of pins and then uses the force of the user to perforate a regular piece of paper. "

Ooooh! ASCII art. Never seen that before! Was this invented by the same guys who pump out "new" reality shows every couple of days? By "new" I mean rehash old ideas, fill in the blanks and hope it sells, of course. Seems like they ran out of viable original ideas years ago, too.
Geesh, and here I was thinking we stopped using punch cards after we got magnetic technology from the aliens. What was I thinking?

The only point to this camera is the one poking the hole in the paper. If you want tangible memories, print the damn picture out, or buy a camera that uses film.

There could be a market for something like this is they can design it so the pins come out the back and are powered somehow. Think of how many people that are in to extreme body mods would want to take a picture of something and then imprint it into their skin...
