Speakers as thin as your TV
TVs have just been getting thinner and thinner as time's gone on. So why not speakers as well? Well, besides the fact that speakers need to be large and deep to produce serious quality sound. But you know, other than that.
Well, these new JVC speakers aim to hang on walls just like your TV, coming in at a mere 31mm thick. Will they actually sound good with such thin depth? I wouldn't bet on it, but with prices coming in at $267 for the amp and $223 for the speakers, you shouldn't be expecting audiophile-level quality anyways.

These remind me of the Magnapan speakers I listened to in the early 80's, they were great sounding through the full range but impractical as they were 6 feet tall and about 1 inch thick. Made from something like mylar with strips of magnets on one/both sides.
Gotta wonder if it's the same technology.
