The Scubaboat is a zippy little powerboat that can scoot across the water at speeds of up to 50MPH. But that's just its basic function. If you really want to show off with it, just point its nose down towards the water; it can dive down up to 100 feet.
Yeah, you'll need to have something hooked up to allow you to breathe underwater, as it's an open cockpit, but I'd like to see any other boat do that. I'm not quite sure what the benefit of that ability is, but it sure is cool. And it can be yours for a mere $164,000.

i wonder why they didn't just include a cool SCUBA helmet or something that's permanently attached to the boat. you could fill up 3 or 4 oxygen tanks and be under water for significantly longer than if you had to carry your oxygen on your back. i doubt sitting and trying to drive a boat with a tank and full SCUBA gear on is comfortable.
firsties!

I am curious how the driver stays on as it goes under water. It seems that is would be hard to when being pulled under water. It sounds pretty awesome though.

The Dolphinboat can dive about 5 feet, and keeps you mostly dry in a covered cockpit; it uses a rigid snorkel to provide air for the driver, passenger, and motor. http://www.seabreacher.com/
Oh, and it costs less than half as much as the Scubaboat, and you don't need the whole tank/regulator/mask thing.

Why no video? Probably because the boat has to stop fully to fill its pontoons to sink which takes some time. It's James Bond on Geritol.

I saw a video of two separate incidents:
1: the craft under water;
2: the craft on the surface.
At no point in time did I see a vehicle submerging or surfacing. Sorry, no endorsement.

When will people stop referring to SCUBA tanks as being filled with oxygen? They are filled with air...that's right the same stuff you breathe now. Air is only comprised of 21% oxygen. Breathing pure oxygen at any significant depth would cause oxygen toxicity. There are instances when tech diving that you may breath pure oxygen for a short time during a decompression stop to help flush out excess nitrogen (or helium). And having more tanks doesn't mean you can stay down longer, the length of time you can safely dive before you need to surface (for recreational diving) is limited by your amount of time at a certain depth. Go down 100 feet and your maximum dive time at 100 feet is 22 min. One 120cf tank would suffice with enough left over for contingency.
That said....cool looking boat.
