No fireplace? No problem! The Cupola is a spherical, wall-mounted fireplace that'll let you slap a hearth on just about any blank vertical surface in your home.

Burning bio-ethanol, the Cupola allows you to have a roaring fire without worrying about vents or chimneys. It's made of lightweight aluminum, is available in black or white, and will set you back $2,735.

Creative! A little pricey, but unique. So, considering it burns bio-ethanol, does that mean that smoke or ventilation is really not an issue? I would love to have one in my bedroom!

So, I'm not one to trash talk, nor do I make any attempts to question DVICE simply because I actually read what they post. One thing I can't stand is people bad mouthing DVICE or complaining. If they didn't like it, they can leave.

But this is a bit much guys. Haven't we seen enough of these? I mean, I love the post and the info, but I mean, aren't these becoming a little common place? This has to be the 3rd or 4th I've seen in the past few months.

I don't know, just seems that at times there are better products to cover. Keep up the good work guys.

Burners without ventilation are really not a good idea. The product may be rated to produce less than a dangerous amount of carbon monoxide. but it will still produce an unhealthy amount. Like portable propane heaters, it will also produce water and carbon dioxide, plus a large range of other chemicals including nitrogen oxides. Water and carbon dioxide are not desirable: they make a room steamy and stuffy, like a restaurant kitchen. Portable propane heaters are used for garage and outdoor use, where taking the edge off the cold is worth breathing a few fumes. For three grand one should get a hydrogen flame with a condenser to remove the water. Anyway, open flames are very indulgent.
