A user who goes by the name of "Airz" over on the Ben Heck forums has managed to cram an entire NES — controller included — into the very cartridges the system uses. He calls his creation the nesP, or NES Portable, and it has pretty much any NES game you'd ever want to play on it and more.
According to Airz, it started as a Chinese portable media player before he chopped it up, and it also plays Game Boy games, video, music and FM radio among other things, and has a TV-out jack so Airz can play it all on a television set.
Check out a video of the nesP in action after the jump.

PHOTO-SHOPPED!

Not photoshopped.. But there is a type of Chinese made camera that has a full version of Super Mario Brothers already on it, and has other emulators available for it online. Also, strangely, it is smaller than an NES cartridge and does conveniently have the exact same menu screens and interface style.. And I'd imagine you could easily mod the d-pad and buttons from an NES controller to work on it.... Hmm..

This is quite impressive. I find this to be a good advance in technology. Ver very useful for when i want to be an 8-bit mario who can shoot fireballs that are actually rolling squares.

anyone notice that there are no views of the back or sides of the "device"? i'd like to see if all the hardwar of the thing is actually inside the nes cartridge or if it sticks out the back.
