Is a motorcycle still a motorcycle if it has four wheels?

Is a motorcycle still a motorcycle if it has four wheels?

The 2010 Cosmos 4RW V8 Muscle Bike is one crazy-looking motorcycle, but I can't help but think it's not technically a motorcycle. I mean, it has four wheels, albeit very close together. I don't think it'd be possible for it to just fall on its side.

In any case, it looks pretty serious. Those 17-inch wheels support a 350 cubic inch engine that's got 350 horsepower. If you want one, it'll cost you: $93,200, to be exact.

to me it looks like the Dodge Tomahawk which was a motorcycle with a Dodge Viper engine.

To be exact, a motorcycle, is a motorized bicycle. Meaning two wheels. So no, if you want to be technical, this is no longer a "motorcycle". I have seen a "4 wheel motorcycle" done by Yamaha called the Tessaract. It is considered a hybrid four-wheeled motorcycle. So, I think there is an opportunity here to dub a new type of machine for all time.

Maybe a Quadcycle?

Or is that too obvious?

3 wheelers are legal motorcycles in all states but the 4th wheel would require another license type in most states

Whatever!!! I want one!!!

I think it would look cooler if it didn't have so many squared off, pointy parts on it. It looks like it's been crunched in the front cause of that. Maybe a sleeker, smoother look would help it. Maybe some color as well. Right now I think it's kind of ugly.

The Dodge one looks like the beginings of a Tron lightcycle.

Yeah, motorcycles lean, which makes them fun. I doubt this thing can lean... but I'm sure it goes straight very well.

And yes it does look similar to the Tomahawk, which also doesn't lean, has 4 wheels too, and also isn't a motorcycle.

I guess I'm the only one thinking "Boss Hoss" right now. Don't get me wrong... If you take off two of the wheels on this fugly thing, then you've got yourself a decent Boss Hoss. But seriously... This thing is fugly and lame.

Agreed that Tomohawk isn't a bike, as well. Tomahawk is waste of money.
