Here's a trendy looking TV that looks like a single sheet of highly reflective glass with an HDTV peeking out from the middle. It goes beyond just a 37-or 46 inch screen under glass, though. Its creator, Ad Notam, says it's "a new type of multimedia furniture."
If you don't feel like watching a reflection of yourself watching a TV hidden behind a magic mirror, Ad Notam offers glass TVs with surrounding surfaces that are sandblasted, laminated, or crafted of colored glass, painted glass, or LED-backlit glass that can glow with the entire range of colors at your disposal. Amazing.
They're available in wall-mounted form, or you can add matching shelving for a sophisticated, unified look. If none of Ad Notam's styles suit you, you can have the company custom-build one of your own. Check out the gallery for some of the possibilities. This is all way-cool looking, but certainly can't be cheap.

What do they look like when the TV is turned off?

That's the fun part: when turned of, the tv looks just like it's housing, creating a flat, reflective surface. Think of those mirrors in interrogation rooms: when you turn on the lights on the other side you see who's watching you..
But man, this thing is smudge and fingerprint sensitive. Better keep it factory clean.
