For $900k, I'd sure hope the watch looks cool

For $900k, I\'d sure hope the watch looks cool

Watches are complex things, full of gears and the like, keeping time precisely and exactly. And the Arena Metasonic puts all that complexity right on display to stunning effect.

Of course, when you're charging $900,000 for a watch (yes, $900,000), I guess you need to show people what they're paying for. And a view into the crazy-tiny interior workings is one way to do it. But yeah, wow, $900,000. For a watch.

How does a manufacturer spend anywhere near $900k in making a watch? There's only so much material and so many mechanisms to make. The stinking thing isn't even gold plated and has a leather wrist band. This sounds like a scam to me.

$900k?? I mean its a nice watch, but not for that kind of money!

The cost of this watch is from the materials used... The exotic compound of Adamantium. The leather is from the skin of the Wolverine himself. And, for added bonus - two very sharp extendable claws will protrude from the knobs of this watch when the wearer experiences high levels of stress.

If you actually bothered to read the article you would know that it is handcrafted, the strap is ostrich leather, and it has an integrated compartment which is unlocked using a biometric mechanism.

If you consider they have only released less than 100 watches in about 15 years then the price is not just for the watch but the rarity must be considered. None the less, I wont be ordering one ;)

To produce so few Watches in 15 years seems like a bit of laziness to me, even if it was only one person hand making them. I guess if I needed something That well crafted on my wrist to tell me the time of day... I Could scrap a diamond encrusted, Solid 24K Gold iPhone 3GS to my arm for a lot less.
