Finally, an acceptable iPhone tripod adapter

Finally, an acceptable iPhone tripod adapter

You might've noticed the iPhone has a decent camcorder on board, but no image stabilization. That's why we've been looking for a dependable tripod mount, an unsuccessful search until now. The XShot iPhone case is made of shiny plastic, but has a standard 1/4-inch threaded tripod mount on the bottom.

At long last, we can mount up our iPhone camcorder without using precarious suction cups. This'll be great for time-lapse work, and for shooting rock-solid videos that the iPhone makes oh-so-easy to upload to YouTube.

Too bad we'll have to wait until November to get one of these puppies for $29.95, but preorders get a $10 discount.

The iPhone camera is an utterly dismal camera, with an utterly dismal lens.
This is a huge waste of money. Even with the $10 off.

Speaking of waste of money...

If you want an outstanding camera there are plenty to choose from, but for the most part, those of us who have an iPhone and have a habit of taking pictures or vids while we enjoy ourselves, it's definitely a plus to have a tripod to put to use.

I'm sure most camera phones would take far better pix and vids with a handy tripod like this.

Of course, if you hate the iPhone or any other camera phone out there, then any accessory will seem irrelevent.

Seriously, it's a phone with a camera not a DSLR. It's Just like all the other phones that have cameras except all the others don't have a tripod built specifically for them.
If you can afford the iPhone you can afford a simple point and shoot to take decent pictures with. I use the camera in my phone from time to time but never once wished I had a tripod for it. This is just another fine example of "people will buy anything" and in this case "if you throw an apple logo on it there's always somebody that will pay too much for it". A camera phone tripod in general is about as useful as those stupid stick on signal enhancers that came out quite a few years back.

iphone looks awesome. I tried the iphone keyboard and it's good. It's really easy to type and stuff on that. The good is that we get a bigger screen. I use the camera in my phone from time to time but never once wished I had a tripod for it.
Thanks.

I don't understand why people who think iPhone camera is bad are leaving comments...if you're not using it - why would you even search for a product like this? For the rest of us who do find iPhone camera useful (are you going to deny Chase Jarvis? seriously?) - this looks like a great product! Thanks for posting about it!
