

The giant robot known as Gigantor (called Tetsujin in Japan) we mentioned back in July has finally been completed and is now on display in Kobe's Wakamatsu Park.
Standing a full 60 feet tall and weighing about 50 tons, the robot statue cost 135 million yen ($1.5 million) to build as a tourist attraction and tribute to the character's creator Mitsuteru Yokoyama. You can check out video of the enormous robot getting its finishing touches here.
