My fav is still the Windows 98 startup theme, followed by 2000's :D
xp's and vistas just blow there not epic and in your face and jsut get annoying 98's and 2000's is like having a guitar rift play on startup comparted to a 5 year old hitting pots and pans in the kitchen

Candlelight? Why, you lucky young whippersnapper, when I were comin' up we had to chisel our own computers out o' fresh granite and boot up by the light o' a burning forest at the foot o' the volcano, all the while tryin' to fend off dinosaurs wi' a sharp stick! We'd have killed to have candles, and often did!

I don't have a favorite, really. Remembering the first time I heard each of them is remembering the "OK, finally, THIS is the OS I've been waiting for!" feeling. I'm still waiting, but Win 7 is looking promising...

Haha wow, the start up sound for 95 gave me a nostalgic chill. I was 7 then, that was probably my family's first computer.

I'm no one's grandpa, but i still remember booting my first pc with the sweet sound of the floppy disk giving me the welcome to DOS xD
