Autofetch ball is a horrible thing to do to your dog
There's a thin line between playing with your dog and torturing your dog psychologically. This Autofetch Motion Pet Ball crosses that line.
It's a ball for your dog to play with. It's got a hole that you can put treats or dog food in, and it has a gyroscope inside to keep it rolling around all over the place. Your dog tries desperately to get at the food it can smell inside, but this ball just endlessly rolls around away from it. And at the end, your dog hangs itself. What fun!

Unless it's one of those miniature designer toy dogs, the average dog will just hold the ball down after the initial "play" period learning curve and suck out all that dog treat goodness. I really don't think the ball has the kind of traction needed to escape a hyped up dog.

You miss the point. This isn't for *your* dog. It's for that annoying *neighbor's* dog that barks incessantly at 3 AM on work nights.

Torture? Nah. This little gizmo would probably do wonders for that too-curious little pooch you have to leave at home while you're away at work for the day. The smarter ones love puzzles, and this would fit them very well.

No way that's torture, my dog would love it... for about five minutes, then they would catch it, eat all the food,destroy the ball and probably swallow at least one of the batteries, then I would have to take him to the vet, get all kinds of tests and x-rays, probably end up getting him surgery, then the bill comes... forget what I said, this thing would be torture... for me.

I'm sorry but this would be hilarious in my book. i can just see my fiance's little shipoo run around to try and get this thing... you dont know how long ive been wanting to F*** with this dog. i would probably end up die laughing.... so watch on the news... if you hear about a guy dying from laughter its probably me. :D

Uhm.. These aren't new... at all. I've had one since about 2002, and they were out long before that - but they were for ferrets. And the ferrets go psycho for them, at least till they get bored and find a dirty sock...
