Remote Buddy helps hunt down lost remotes

Remote Buddy helps hunt down lost remotes

No points for presentation here, but the Remote Buddy is a $40 solution for keeping four of your remotes stored and tacked. The unit comes with four color-coded receivers, and pressing the corresponding button on the Remote Buddy will cause the receiver to chime — which means you'll probably hear it from between the sofa cushions. It also has space for a drink, if you're into that.

Of course, you could just avoid all the clutter with a universal remote, but, while plenty more awesome, those are also plenty more expensive.

Your money would be better spent on a Harmony remote.

I have yet to find a good 40$ universal.

That, and just because you have a universal doesn't mean you never use the other remotes.

I love this idea - the time I spend looking for lost remotes, courtesy of my one year old, and the frustration I wouldn't have to experience are more than worth a $40 drop in the bucket!

Stargate525, You apperently have never used a Harmony remote. You can program that thing to do everything. I got two in my house. One for my family room and one for my man cave and they are a god send. They can do everything and they are very intuitive to use. They can be tweaked to turn on the right equipment for the right task every time. Its a must have for people with home theater systems who hire babysitters. It use to be a half hour chat with a flow chart to show one how to watch TV, listen to the radio or watch a DVD. Now its just (Look at the little screen and press watch TV, or watch DVD, or listen to music). Saves me a headache and a frantic call from a babysitter trying to get Finding Nemo to play.

That being said my two year old does have a habit of hiding the remote, so if they could find a way to build in a little receiver that made noise if I hit a button by the TV that would make it even better.
