It's hard not to be a bit of a Luddite when it comes to car technologies that could take the driver's attention away from the road as people really seem distracted enough, but we'll give the Peugeot BB1 a fair shake.
At the heart of the conceptual vehicle's ability to connect to the world wide web is an iPhone dock built into the dashboard. It would then handle all the processing by way of an on-board computer so — we can only guess — to free the iPhone up to serve up that net goodness. From there, you'd be able to do everything you'd be able to on a computer, from the looks of it.
Obviously, there are times when this would be super useful, such as emailing someone in the event that you need assistance. On the other hand, the Internet provides endless distractions, which hopefully won't be available to the driver while the vehicle is in motion. Check out more of the BB1 in the gallery below.

why do car manufacturers keep wasting time with these silly litle sci-fi looking concept cars? they're never going to actually make them. I guess it's just for the press that they bring.

Why would someone want to browse the internet through traffic. We have to many traffic accidents for people talking or texting on their cell telephones Anyway . I currently have1992 Honda ACCORD LX I 've currently checked I get about 33.5 miles per gallon.

jjeguy: According to fueleconomy.gov your accord gets 28 mpg at the most. Any particular reason you're seeing a nearly 25% increase in fuel economy? Maybe you just don't know how to accurately gauge your fuel usage. Here's the only real way to do it:
Fill up your tank then clear the trip odometer.
Drive until the tank is empty. Refill the tank. GET A RECEIPT. Divide the amount of miles your trip odometer shows by the amount of gas you just pumped. This number is your mpg. Don't forget to clear the trip odometer for the next fill up.
Hypermiling doesn't exactly make your car more efficient. It does save gas and everyone should do their part but we do need cars that are naturally efficient.
