The Garmin-Asus nüvifone has been talked about for a while, but now it's gone from talk to reality. The nüvifone G60 is expected to hit the market in October for $299 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract.
The nüvifone G60 is the Linux-based smartphone with a 3 megapixel camera, 3G capability, 3.5" touchscreen, and of course, a built-in Garmin GPS.
With GPS capabilities available as an added feature on practically every phone, Garmin might be a bit late to the game, but it should be interesting to watch it play. Don't get me wrong - I adore my nüvi in my car, can't live without the Garmin Edge on my bike, but do I need it in my pocket? What do you think — any interest in a Garmin phone?
