Perhaps prompted by yesterday's unveiling of the Bose SoundDock 10, B&W today gives us the Zeppelin Mini, a compact iPod dock based on the same technology as the Zeppelin iPod dock the company debuted a couple of years ago — and we happened to love, by the way. The Mini promises the same "high standard" of sound quality, just in a smaller package. While the original punches out iPod tunes with a 5-inch woofer and 100 watts of amplification, the Zep Mini has a pair of 3-inch drivers and 36 total watts.

The speaker takes the iPod audio in digital form, doing the digital-to-analog conversion onboard. Even better, the USB port on the back lets you stream music from your PC or Mac as well as sync your iPod/iPhone. There's also an Aux input for other sources.

While the price tag is an expectedly steep $400, that's $200 better than the SoundDock 10 — and the original Zeppelin for that matter. There's no wireless option, but we'd still be tempted to go with this baby if we were in the market for a high-end iPod dock (even though it looks nothing like a Zeppelin). Which one do y'all like?
