Spy video: Zune HD interface, pricing revealed
Yes, there are other highly capable audio and video players other than iPods. Case in point: Microsoft Zune HD, which you can see in action for the first time in the spy video above. Since we showed you the product shots of the gorgeous 720p player that'll be available on September 8th (rumor update: more likely September 15), pricing has been leaked, too — the 16GB Zune HD will retail for $220, and the 32-gig version will be $290. Those prices undercut Apple's iPod touch products by a country mile.
We've also found out that besides the games and apps that will be available on the Microsoft Zune HD, its Wi-Fi capability will let you surf the Web on a self-rotating multitouch Web browser, and even includes a newly revealed "search with Bing" query box. Apple's going to have to do something impressive to match this OLED-screened beauty.

I am definatly upgrading my Zune to this, but I might wait for some higher storage options. I have @60gigs now on my 120, and the video isn't even 720p. I don't like the iPod and absolutly HATE iTunes so the more options out there the better. If they tie Live into it and keep the Zune Pass, I will be more than happy.

The Zune HD is going to give iPod Touch a run for its money. I have a iPhone but I might consider checking out the ZUne after seeing a few videos and pics. Gizmodo has a hands on look and its pretty awesome. http://ziggytek.com/

so what happens once apple upgrades the ipod touch to 16gb,32gb, and 64gb respectively? this will be what? ten bucks cheaper? sad little microsoft...

@Jalem, iPod touch is already 16 and 32... wait until you try and leave Apple and you will see what they have become. They have become what they hated most. Whayt exactly are you trying to defend? That vending machine in your pocket?

Dang! this thing is beautiful.... I'd definitely dump my iPhone for this if it had phone capabilities too.
Let's see if it makes it to market in time to do some damage.

If this were also a phone I'd dump my iphone without looking back. I have zune 8 and absolutely love it.
I'm assuming people only slam the zune because it's microsoft... They also pulled this with the xbox and we know how that turned out :)
