Rocking chairs are relaxing on a warm summer evening, but sometimes you've had quite enough of that motion, and vertigo sets in. Time to convert that rocker into an armchair. That's just what "Fotel" by designer Peter Vardai does in 20 seconds, a transmogrification fast enough to call it a Transformer.

This design concept specifies a carbon fiber frame with springy and comfy elastic bands on the seating surfaces. A soothing seat no doubt, but that carbon fiber stuff doesn't come cheap. Even so, this is one swank-looking throne, one that would certainly be welcome on our front porch.
