Fake Newspaper laptop case guards against uneducated thieves

Fake Newspaper laptop case guards against uneducated thieves

There is indeed a way to argue against the so-called "death of print" while simultaneously keeping your digital goodies safe thanks to the Laptop Case for Macbook Pro Against Crime. Despite its unwieldy long name, the case is actually a stroke of genius that covers your laptop in what appears to be a foreign newspaper.

Constructed from heavy duty plastic, with a metal zipper and handle, the convincing newspaper-meets-laptop case is perfect for international travelers hoping to avoid the attention of sticky-fingered laptop thieves. You can pick up your own anti-theft laptop case for just 60 euros ($85) here.

lmao...they would have to be some seriously stupid thieves.

So instead of laptop thieves, we have thieves making laptop bags. Come on! I can buy a real newspaper for one dollar (maybe five dollars at the airport). Wrap it around the outside of a portfolio-style laptop case and viola! (That's pronounced Wah-La for you people who think the $85 fake newspaper is a good idea).

No, that's definitely pronounced "vee-oh-la," as in the musical instrument. You're looking for "voila."

However, I agree with your comment. It's a pretty novel idea though, but I'd much rather spend $10-20 on a laptop lock and loop it around the table's leg.

Damn. To think I just spent 60 euros buying a cover for my newspaper that looks like a laptop.

You can be the "weird" guy who brings the same old newspaper to work everyday.

lol Dashiell...
You can probably market that and someone will buy it!
