Ever since the dramatic debut of the Segway years ago, inventors have been emboldened to step up with their own transport innovations, the latest of which is called the eniCycle. Created by Slovenian inventor Aleksander Polutnik, the unicycle-like vehicle is powered by an electric motor and features a self-balancing gyroscope system, allowing even those of us not trained at the circus to easily ride the contraption.
According to Polutnik, the system is so intuitive that the average new rider will need just 30 minutes to master driving and steering the vehicle. No pricing information has been announced on the inventor's website, but you can see video of the eniCycle in action here.

says, You gotta love those Slovenians. See what a little freedom does to a person-- it encourages capitalism and cool inventions. Love it's simplicity. Hopefully Polutnik will find his backers. Maybe someday we'll all be riding around on Polutniks.

The eniCycle looks like someone chopped off Bumblebee's leg and is using it to travel. I do like the idea of the eniCycle and unlike the Segway, this may actually catch on. If the price were in the right range, I might consider getting one. It looks pretty sweet. http://ziggytek.com/

Needs a package rack. And fore-and-aft training wheels, for me. I have no illusions about my vertical stability.

riding my regular unicycle took me long enough but i wonder how easy, or uneasy, this thing is to master. I would totally give it a shot though.

That appears to be a hub-motor, so there's only wires between "wheel" and upper assembly. That means a person could scale this up until there was a SERIOUS motor in a MUCH larger mud-boggin' tire to straddle. (Let's get a high-back bucket seat atop, too)
Keeping those 4 full-sized car batteries balanced along with your drunken sack of bones, might be a good time with potential for injury and embarrassment. vrrroooom!
