Do half of your pictures look like they were taken from a slanted surface due to you always holding the camera slightly askew? Not mine. But hey, if that's a problem you run into, this camera cube level will solve it for you in no time.
Simply snap the cube on top of your camera on the flash mount and you'll always know exactly when it's perfectly level. It's great for holding the camera in your hands, but is probably even more useful when you're using a finicky tripod. This way you'll know for sure when you've got the legs out at the proper lengths. It's available now for $15.

How is this new, they've been using something like this at my work for years now.

It doest say anything about it being new in the article, but I think the fact that it is made for a camera flash mount may imply that its new.
But yeah, I can see this as useful for professionals (or at least beginning profs).

It would only be useful if you are shooting with a tripod, since you wouldn't be able to see the level while your eye is in the viewfinder (while hand-holding the camera...)
I haven't seen a pro not use a tripod worthy of the name "pro"... which all include a level built in.
Hey, I'm not knocking it entirely... just saying that it has very limited use.
Want an useful invention? Give me a hot-shoe attachment like the one that level cube has, but put an umbrella on it instead!

Hmm, it'd really be better to have something inside the viewfinder itself. Heck, most cameras already have accelerometers in them anyway to encode orientation information into the photos -- hopefully manufacturers will think to use more accurate ones and use them to provide an artificial horizon.

You could also buy a super cheap circular bubble level and double stick it on the head of your tripod in a spot that's easy to see. It'd save you a few bucks and free up your hot shoe.
