Here's an interesting twist on the traditional refrigerator: the stackable Flatshare Fridges. Designed for people who share their fridge with others, it splits the fridge up into various compartments, each with their own door. This saves energy by not letting out as much cool air whenever the door is opened, and it also keeps your food from getting mixed up with everyone else's.
It's certainly not a design for everyone, but I think it could definitely work well in certain situations. What do you think, would segmenting your fridge make your life a little easier?

amazing idea . I just love it . this is an idea what we needed for ages - you can save energy , and face the fact that you don't need a house sized fridge .

If they put one of those hinges for a padlock on it, I'm in.

"not a design for everyone..." -- you need to do more research then.
This is exactly what is needed, if the price is right... and if all those individual modules can be controlled at different temperature settings.
There are expensive refrigerators out there, that give 8-10 compartments in a size roughly double the size of a normal fridge...
so if this thing can give us the ability to set temperature and humidity control for each module, then I am all for it.

it's probably also an excellent concept for energy conservation for a single family: you won't open your entire fridge each time you need something out of it, therefore, not wasting the cold in the other parts.
I love it
but I think you already presented this in the past.
