Satellite video shows eclipse's shadow of the moon racing across the Earth

Yesterday was the longest solar eclipse that'll happen this century. Unfortunately, it happened on the other side of the planet. This video, taken by Japan's Himawari-7 weather satellite shows the shadow of the moon racing over the surface of the Earth.

Pictures were taken at 15 minutes intervals from a distance of 22,400 miles up to show what appears to be the moon racing across Asia and into the Pacific Ocean. Sure, it's not quite as cool as seeing it in person, but it's amazing to see this perspective on the event.
