Micro Butterfly, the world's smallest R/C plane

Micro Butterfly, the world\'s smallest R/C plane

We thought that tiny R/C Spitfire with its 6-inch wingspan was the smallest flying model plane ever, but now Plantraco outdoes itself with this even smaller Micro Butterfly.

With its 3.5 inch wingspan, it brings the same sophisticated four-channel, fully proportional control of the Spitfire, at an identical price of $150.

Everything about it is exceptionally small, especially its radio-controlled receiver, the world's lightest at .38 grams. Its makers say this little sucker is easy to fly. This we gotta try. Here's a video of this mini-plane in action:

Welcome to 2 years ago Dvice. This plane has been out 4ever. Besides, I have seen smaller, fully proportional planes in as small as 1 gram total weight before. They are custom built, but still...

To Dumbass81: I suppose you could tell us where we could see or buy the much smaller planes than this one above. Oh... and how much weight can it carry because I want to put a voice transmitter and maybe a camera so I can spy on people like my boss; and my really spooky neighbor and the mailwoman...and that chinese restaurant that sells 'chicken' and stuff, and ....and....THE WORLD!!! because I'm macocious!!!

The url above details a home-made 225mg, yes, that's less than 1/4 of 1 gram total weight. It's not a retail plane everyone can buy, but it shows just how innovative people are getting when it comes to ultralite tiny airplanes.
