To commemorate today's 40th anniversary of Apollo 11's first lunar landing, French luxury brand Louis Vuitton created the Malle Mars (translated from French, the "Mars trunk"), shaped like a 50s-era sci-fi rocket ship.
When opened the rocket-trunk reveals a series of shelves, drawers and cabinets perfect for storing books, jewelry, perfumes, pharmaceuticals, tools and other assorted LV goodies. The trunk will be on display today at the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History.

does anyone else think this looks like something else?

@sh3rp4 - Like maybe a plug of some kind? But that can't be right, can it? Either way you take it in the shoot when you buy overpriced luxury baggage.
As soon as I read your comment the light went on. You nailed it. I think it is not the egg shape that is the issue but the base that really seals the deal.

Yes, I thought it...Sorry, the gutter is not removable. It also reminds me of the egg shaped dropships from Battletech.
