The iPhone is already poised to become the new big platform for portable gaming, squarely taking on the Nintendo DS, which is currently the king of the mountain. Which is why this handmade iPhone case is so great: it's a Game Boy, the original Nintendo handheld console that started it all.
Yes, you'll be able to smile at the irony of keeping your iPhone in a Game Boy every time you take a call, and you'll also have a downright-adorable protective case at the same time. And for only $15, there's really no downside that I can see. Awesome.

Taking on the DS? Well here in The Netherlands I can still buy 4 DS's for the price of the cheapest iPhone. So that's not a real comparison.

@noizzz:
Haven't you heard? The iPhone (and all Apple products in fact) releases chemicals from its case that make people forget the value of money. It only works on Americans though. How else to explain the millions of people who agreed to pay $4400 over 2 years for what amounts to a nifty toy?

This case looks ok, but the PSone version looks better.

I'm not sure where you learned math, but you are way off. The only difference between an iPhone plan and any other cell plan is the required $30 a month service plan. My iPhone plan is costing me an extra $720 for 2 years with a total plan cost of $1800. Using your math my $75 a month plan would last 4 years 10 months and 20 days. Judging by your comment you hate Apple and don't live in the U.S.

I thought this was pretty cool case and then forgot about it. But my brother saw it on my browser earlier this morning and (since we both have new phones and neither of us have used cases before) we decided to try and build some of our own. I opted for the Gameboy. We didn't have any gray felt, but there was a box somewhere with every other color, and I ended up liking the white just as much. Changes I made to the original design include the "A" and "B" button stitches and the extra flap over the top so you can button it up and have total protection. I'm a guy, I have no sewing/crafting/gay experience, and yet this took about 2 hours (hand stitched) and didn't come out half bad. I'm actually really pleased with the result. I might do another in a few weeks and really get it looking snazzy. Photos at
