There's little doubt that an electric bike is a smart way to get around, but they have little onboard storage, and face it: messenger bags really only look good on bike messengers.
Ryan McGinley has designed the Amur Leopard, a prototype electric bike that's ready for the streets of Beijing. The Leopard is an electric bike with built-in storage under the seat for a laptop, briefcase, or a six-pack of your beverage of choice.
It's a bike messenger's job not to get lost, but you might need a little extra help. The Amur Leopard bike also has a "navigational/communication" (also known as a smartphone, right?) device built into the steering panel.
Here's wishing the storage and communication features were available on all bikes.
