Every morning is a countdown drama. So why not have a Morning Countdown Clock that calls out the amount of time you have left? This one announces the time left at the one-hour mark, and also calls out when you have 45 minutes, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, 3, 2, and 1 minute left. Then it starts really nagging you with 30 seconds, 20 seconds and a 10-second countdown. What is this, a countdown to a NASA liftoff?
It's a good idea. For $33, all of a sudden you don't need to do any reverse countdown math in your head, nor do you need to ask your wife how much time you have left. And, this clock is also an alarm clock that starts all the fun by waking you up.
Before springing for this talkative clock, we'd like to hear that voice, though — it might be annoyingly robotic, and could even be in Japanese. If so, some enterprising manufacturer might want to adapt this for Americans who are always late. Or here's an idea: Wear a watch.
