NES controller refitted, now controls a wireless doorbell system

We're used to seeing people turn their old hardware into stuff like joysticks and robots, but here's something different: a wireless doorbell. This guy gutted an NES controller and fitted it with a wireless module. "The module was modified a bit to deal with the relatively high resistance of the NES controller button pads as well as to add a feedback LED," his YouTube video description reads, and it looks like every button on the controller will activate the chime.

That's the kind of game-inspired design I can appreciate, but there's one way this mod misses a beat - the chime sounds like you're average doorbell, not anything appropriate such as that classic Mario jump noise or a coin box. Check out a video of the doorbell in action after the jump.
