Normally, a 15-inch HDTV would be beneath the notice of all but the most comprehensive TV addict. But not this one — this upcoming set from LG is an OLED model, only the second actual television to boast that display technology, the first being Sony's XEL-1. The benefits of OLED tech are eyebrow-raising: You get a TV that displays brighter color, consumes less power, and is mind-bogglingly thinner than conventional LCD or plasma sets (apart from a few technology demos).

The 15-inch screen will have a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels (not 1080p, but enough to qualify for HD) and a 30,000-hour lifetime — pretty good by today's standards (though Panasonic claims a 60,000-hour lifetime for its current Viera plasmas). No price on the LG set yet, but considering Sony's 11-incher sells for a hefty $2,500, expect to pay a big premium for this OLED model. Is it worth it to you?
