

When 24-year-old Graham Hunt lost the use of his legs after a neurological disease, he thought that the closest he would get to a sporting life would be playing his Wii in the comfort of his own home. Until, that is, he discovered the Paragolfer, a mobility vehicle that lets disabled people play a round.
The German-built, $16,500 machine supports Mr Hunt's legs and allows him to tee off and swing just like any able-bodied golfer. It's all-terrain too, which means that even tricky bunker shots are playable — like the picture below.

Great design. It ought to have "freedom" in its name somewhere because that's what it affords the handicapped.
