Globath shower also packs a wardrobe, washer, dryer and handicap access

A design by Fatih Can Sariöz, the Globath shower module has pretty much everything except for the kitchen sink (well, and a toilet). It's flanked by a wardrobe and dryer on one side of the unit, with a washer and storage area on the other side.

If that's not enough to make you feel like you're living in a Jetsons-style future, the big circular shower in the middle has a motorized seat that would also make disabled access — such as being able to leave a wheelchair, take a shower and return to it — a snap.

Check out more of the Globath in the gallery below.

That could make for a whole new of taking a bath, the whole idea of turning the thing around as the door is really neat. Two problems though, the door excludes the obese, but doesnt almost every bath and shower? secondly it would have to be a very large radius to allow tall people. Im 6'0 and you have to allow room to move your arms up and out, but thats a problem for the shower function. You dont mention a bath function but I think that circular shower big enough to house anyone not from Eastern Asia would not be make enough sense.

hello, thank you for the link back, but I think you should write Tuvie instead of YankoDesign as the anchor text :)

Having grown up with a mother who had polio, something like this would have been a Godsend, provided it was affordable. The only downside for be is the unholy union of water and electricity. Always gives me the heeby-jeebies.

Re the obese, well, lose the weight, you'll be glad you did!

I'm 6'3" so I think this would be very cramped for me. But, I really like the idea of being completely sealed in the shower - like your own steam bath - really helps your breathing and it's a lot warmer so the hot water lasts longer.
