Taga stroller/trike is an awesome way to bring the kids along on your trips.

Taga stroller/trike is an awesome way to bring the kids along on your trips.

The traditional stroller hasn't changed too much in over a century, you still need to move the thing using good old fashioned walking power. And while this Taga trike may not be the first Taga isn't the first pedal powered vehicle with space to load up the kiddies, it does put add a few new levels of convenience to the way you schlep your offspring around.

For starters, it folds up so you can fit it in the car trunk for trips out of town. Then there's the wide range of attachments, including setups for two kids, covered seats for rainy days, and shopping baskets. You can even adjust the length of the Taga depending on what load you need to carry.

Having the kids up front means you can see what they're up to, while they get a much better view than with some funky trailer rig.

Currently, the Taga is sold only in Europe. Let's hope a US importer steps up to the plate soon.

She doesn't look like she had two kids...

the design should be reversed with kids side by side over rear axel between two wheels with fenders, Parent would be able to see both children when looking back at them while making it easier to steer

Pretty similar with Zigo Bike actually... :) The only thing different is the dual carrier.

Front wheeled trikes are actually safer than their reverse counterparts. The handling of the two wheels in front make it much harder to tip while in turns. Add into that a parent contorting their body to look back at a child, not to mention taking their eyes off the road, could cause them to shift their weight and turn the handles which could tip the trike. Unless the parent decides that it is very much needed to run straight into a wall leading with the the kids isn't the worst idea. As far as helmets go yes it is basic bike safety and any idiot should know that but unless they are raging fools I'd like to think most people know not to try and bike at full speed with a child onboard. So aside from getting hit by a car which a helmet would most likely do next to nothing... a helmut shouldn't be needed because again the trike is much harder to tip.

helmets are needed for any accident, most people dont fall of bikes. but accidents happen.

Edit this sentence please. "And while this Taga trike may not be the first Taga isn't the first pedal powered vehicle with space to load up the kiddies, it does put add a few new levels of convenience . . ."

Ouch.

By captnzro at 6:26 PM ON 05/13/09

looks extremely useful for about 1 summer until the kids grow a little.....lame

I think it is a great product!! only careless parent will go and bump into something or ride fast with kids. cycling with a kid in the back is much more dangerous and I have the experience. the child in the back affects the stability and you can easily fall and the child hit his head. here you have 3 wheels so much less chance something will happen

By GryphonLady at 9:01 PM ON 06/07/09

Well they could make a model that you could remove the child carriers and add a basket. It could make a cool people powered vehicle for going to short trips to the market or just running arends.

PEACE!

The Zigo Leader can carry two children in a forward-located CHildPod (up to 80 lbs), and also converts to a stroller, jogger, bicycle, or trailer.
