Solar necklace stores power by day, dazzles LED fans by night

The move towards green technology is only gaining momentum, but to achieve full mainstream cache we'll need more examples of the technology merged with style concerns. The new necklace called Lux, designed by Mae Yokoyama, is just such an example.

Created using a set of solar panels, the necklace stores solar energy in the daytime and then uses that energy to power an array of embedded LED lights in the necklace during the night. The necklace only needs about two hours of sun to radiate roughly four hours of stylish opulence from the wearer's neck.
