HP just added to its tiny netbook PC line, goosing up its 2.33-lb Mini models with the business-y Mini 1101 and its twisted sister, the Mini 110. The big news is HP's addition of an optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator to the Mini 110.

Why's that a big deal? HP says that accelerator will let its cheap tinybook play back 1080p video, that's what. Its screen certainly doesn't have the rez to play back such things, but the idea is you could plug it into your home theater and watch some crispy video. This we gotta see.

Pricing starts at $279 for the Mini 110 with Linux, $329 for the 110 with Windows XP or Vista (and check out that crazy purple-pink color you can choose!), shipping June 10, while the Mini 1101 rolls out on June 1 for $329. Find more details in HP's press release:

HP Mini 110 models include the Syncables™ Desktop solution, which provides effortless, automatic synchronization of music, pictures, videos and other files between an HP Mini and a primary notebook or desktop PC.

* The HP Mini 110 XP Edition and the Mini 110 with Mi is expected to be available in Black Swirl in the United States on June 10 via www.hpdirect.com/go/mini with a starting price of $329.99 and 279.99 respectively.
