Those familiar with Tokyo's artificial island known as Odaiba already know that the place is riddled with some of the most amazingly futuristic buildings on the planet. Now the location is set to get even more surreal with the addition of a 59 foot-tall, life size statue of Bandai's GUNDAM robot.
The statue will be housed in Odaiba's Shiokaze Park as part of Bandai's Mobile Suit Gundam 30th Anniversary Project. The creators will base the statue on the original RX-78-2 Gundam robot from the series that dates back to 1979. The giant robot will begin its reign over Tokyo beginning in July.

Nice,
It reminds me of my Shogun Warrior I used to play with as a kid.
