Celebrated architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who was responsible for such iconic structures as the Guggenheim Museum and Fallingwater, is getting six of his buildings — the aforementioned two included — turned into LEGO playsets. The release of the LEGO structures coincides with the real Guggenheim Museum's "From Within Outward" exhibition, which is a celebration of 50 years of Wright's continued influence after his passing.
The first of the sets was released on the 15th to coincide with the opening of the exhibition, and are part of LEGO's LEGO Architecture line of sets, made to "inspire future architects, engineers and designers as well as architecture fans around the world with the LEGO brick as a medium."

This looks interesting but if it's real- why does LEGO's official site have no mention of it?
By lunatic at 9:07 PM ON 05/20/09
because lego.com is a kids website. i doubt they would mention this on the website, no kid has ever heard of this legend

Children learn from what you teach them. If you want kids to know about FLW and/or other iconic architects, scientist, musicians, writers, etc. then spend your time teaching them. I applaud LEGO in finding a fun way to teach children about architecture.
