Chinese retiree uses scrap to create steampunk robo-massage chair

The above photo might look like some gritty version of a virtual reality chair, but it is in fact a massage chair designed by 78-year-old Chinese retiree Lin Shuseng. Originally conceived to soothe his wife's aching joints, the decidedly steampunk-like chair took him 8 years to construct and is completely made of scrap materials. Despite the elaborate appearance of the contraption, Shuseng claims he still isn't finished and intends to add a seat heating function in the future.
