Rumored $400 Xbox 360 Elite bundle to come with Halo 3, Fable 2

xbox360elite.jpg

The Xbox 360 is arguably the best current-gen system out there, at least for people who are relatively serious about gaming. Sure, the Wii has sold more units, but it's a more casual system. For serious gamers, the Xbox 360 is where it's at. Looking to hop on board? Well, Microsoft may have a bundle on the horizon that's going to be tough to say no to.

Rumor has it that there's a bundle coming that includes the Xbox 360 Elite (the highest-end version of the console), Halo 3 and Fable 2, all for $400. Now these aren't throwaway games they're trying to get rid of; no, they're two of the best and best selling games currently available for the console. If you don't already have one, it may be worth holding out for when this hits the market to get on board.

If they really want me to buy one they need to include wireless. Their wireless "modem" is another $80 or so! WTF?! When you add up the cost of everything you have to buy to make the X equal to the PS3, the prices are virtually identical and you lack a BluRay drive. I'm not crazy about BR but when you compare apples to apples it has to figure in.

Only NOOBS worry about playing online with a wireless connection...douche. have fun watching all of your exclusives go away.

there is no reason to want wireless for your 360. I and most serious gamers prefer to play online games whether PC, 360, or PS3 hard wired straight to the router. Even if I had also had PS3 I would still connect with an ethernet cable, there is less of a chance of something interfering and making you lose your internet connection. I really would hate to get a loss on Madden if my wireless signal were to drop.

Excellent... should help the 360 gain even more market share! B)

Your using wireless to game? You wanna play quake, from hence forward you will be known as ping_0wn3d, people these days.

I hope all of you enjoy tripping on your ethernet cables that are stretched across your mom's basement floor. :) Go have a pop tart and a juice box why don't you?

It isn't that it is optimal for gaming, but wireless is really convient. especially since most of us live in houses that weren't wired for home networks. Also response speeds with wireless N are significantly lower then your isp.
No problem with a wireless router as long as you don't own a bottom of the barrel 20 dynex.

Tom Black you're an idiot. Because they don't agree with you you insinuate they're children. When in reality they are correct. Anyone who uses wireless to game is a tard. You also just spent your previous post WHINING like a child about "WTF!!! NO WIRELESS!!! WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Douche.

wow, love to watch prepubescent folk getting their shorts in a bunch over the method of connectivity used. It's a gaming system, whatever works, works.
"Play" and have fun. If your using wireless to game, that's all you hoss. Why am I commenting on this.... I need a drink..

Sorry... PS3 is best bang for your buck. The graphics are just as good, the wireless kicks ass, you have BD and the wireless controller kicks the 360's ass. I mean, you need freakin' batteries to run your controller???? In the end the 360 is just as expensive as the PS3 when you buy all the extras needed to match the PS3. The 360 is exactly what it is. A gaming console. The PS3 is a gaming console and entertainment center.

What is this, an advertisement? Seriously, that first sentence sounds like it came bundled with a check from Microsoft. I may be a PS3 fan, but I recognize the merits of both systems. And for anyone praising the 360 for it's price? How about YEARS worth of Live fees? Playing online has been free for me from day one.

Hello boys and girls and/or fanboy&girls. It’s nice play with you. Bottom line… it’s the games. Why do you think the wii is doing so well? I got a playstation for God of War. I got a 360 for Halo and Ninja Gaiden. I got a wii for Zelda and Mario… arguing over which box is best is silly. You find a game you can’t live without and you buy the deck it plays on.
PS: I have a wireless network that I use for my iphone and an apple laptop. Everything else is hard wired. To use wireless on anything that isn’t mobile is just lazy. You lower your bandwith just because you don’t want to drill a few holes and run a few wires. Oh boohoo… cry me a river.
