Kenwood aims to get out in front of the OLED lighting trend by releasing a new innovation that combines sound and illumination. Developed in conjunction with professor Junti Kido of Japan's Yamagata University, the prototype device uses 80 percent less power than normal lights and also features an integrated speaker system. The company suggests that when the invention is commercials it could be used for emergency evacuation lighting with illuminated instructions.
